A2N2 provides awards to students, schools

The Advertising Association of Northern Nevada last week handed out $9,000 in scholarships and awards to schools.

A2N2 presented $2,000 each to Michael McDowell and Katrina Nada, University of Nevada, Reno journalism students who are majoring in advertising, and awarded another $2,000 to Dawn Vanscoy, a senior majoring in marketing in UNR's College of Business Administration.

In addition to the three scholarships, A2N2 awarded $2,000 to the Truckee Meadows Community College graphics design department.

The UNR Journalism school received $1,000 from A2N2.
