A service for John W. Sanderson, 53, of Yerington will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Casino West Convention Center in Yerington.
Mr. Sanderson died Oct. 31, 2003. He was born June 22, 1950, in Bishop, Calif., to Joseph and Virginia Sanderson.
He graduated from Reno High School and attended the University of Nevada, Reno.
Mr. Sanderson was co-broker of Sunrise Realty 500 and executive director of the Lyon County Economic Development Authority.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Among his survivors are his wife, Janet; children Jason and Monica; grandchildren Elizabeth and Maison; sister Jodi Kriens of Beverly Hills, Calif.; sister and brother-in-law Carol and Dennis Freeman of Reno; nieces and nephews Mike Kriens, Machele Kilgore, Laurie Freeman, Kathy Womack, Crissy Maranto, Kelly LaTorraca, J.J. Hawkeswood and Abbey Hawkeswood; and great nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lyon County Museum or the Jeanne Dini Cultural Center for the Arts.
John Sparks Memorial Cremation and Burial Society is in charge of arrangements.
