A gathering for family and friends of Pierre "Pete" Carrica, 94, a Fallon resident for the past 25 years, will be from 1-4 p.m. Saturday at 2805 Reno Highway in Fallon.
Mr. Carrica died Oct. 3, 2003, at the Life Care Center of Reno. He was born Oct. 18, 1908, in France.
Before moving to Fallon, he lived in Reno and Carson City.
Mr. Carrica was a sheepherder, rancher and member of the Basque Club of Reno.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dagmar in 1991; and son Michael.
Among his survivors are his son Lou "Skip" of Fallon; daughter, Janet Inda of Reno; grandchildren Denise Inda Woodin and Paul Carrica; and great-granddaughter Maitane Miren Woodin.
Cremation will be at Smith Family Funeral Home and Crematory. Inurnment will be later in the Fallon Cemetery.
