Peter Padilla, chairman of the board at the Hispanic Chamber of Northern Nevada, has assumed the position of interim executive director of the chamber.
Leslie Mix, former HCC CEO/president, resigned from the post in January 2004 and Padilla assumed the role as interim executive director on March 15.
The HCC has established a search committee that is charged with finding a qualified replacement.
Padilla worked at KUVR Azteca America as the general manager until March.
He came to Reno with 24 years of television and radio experience and owned a small business, Las Cruces Marketing, Inc.
in New Mexico.
