Grant LeRoi Hubbard, 85, a Yerington resident for the past two years, died Feb. 4, 2004, at South Lyon Medical Center in Yerington. He was born June 25, 1918, in Alameda, Calif., to Claude and Carmen Hubbard.
Before moving to Yerington, he lived in the Placerville, Calif., area.
Mr. Hubbard worked as a tree faller in central and northern California for more than 35 years. After retiring from the forest, he worked for Investment Properties in Diamond Springs, Calif.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael.
Among his survivors are his wife of 28 years, Carolyn; daughters Sharon, Sandra and Susan; son, Fred; grandchildren Kim, Michael, Travis, John, Lawrence and Cindy and four great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held.
