Tim Janke, vice president and general manager of the Florida Canyon Mining subsidiary of Apollo Gold, has been appointed general manger of
Apollo's operations in Nevada.
Along with continued operation of the Florida Canyon Mine 38 miles southwest of Winnemucca, Janke will be responsible for the construction and development of the new Standard Mine near Florida Canyon and other exploration opportunities.
Janke previously held international positions with Barrick Gold Corp, and Homestake Mining Co.
He has more than 25 years of experience in operations, project management, technical services and acquisitions.
