Ribeiro makes move into northwest Reno

Nearing build-out on a signature property along South McCarran Boulevard, The Ribeiro Companies will establish a beachhead in northwest Reno this year.

The company said last week it will begin work in March on a nine-building complex to be known as North West Quail at Robb Drive and Mae Anne.

The site is about 10 acres.

The project, which will total 88,000 square feet, will be available for retail, office or medical users.

Individual units, which will be leased or sold, will range from 1,500 to 30,000 square feet.

The move into fast-growing northwest Reno comes as The Ribeiro Companies nears build-out of its Quail Corners projects along South McCarran between Lakeside and Kietzke Lane.

Company spokesman Chad Guldin said only 50,000 square feet remain to be built at Quail Corners, which totals 216,000 square feet of garden office and retail uses.

The Ribeiro Companies will maintain a presence in south Reno this year as it begins work on Quail Country Estates at the northwest corner of Huffaker Lane and Country Estates Road, just west of Highway 395 on Huffaker Lane.

That's an eight-building project on approximately nine acres with occupancy scheduled for this autumn, Guldin said.

Each of the buildings will be 6,720 square feet and feature residential-style architecture.

They're designed for office or medical uses.

Spaces, which will be either leased or sold, range from 1,680 to 6,720 square feet.

In Carson City, meanwhile, Ribeiro this month expects to finish construction of Carson Quail Park.

The six-building complex in the 2300 block of South Carson Street is largely devoted to retail, although it also includes office and warehouse space.

Guldin said about 40 percent of the project's 62,000 square feet has either been leased or sold.
