Nancy Centro

A funeral for Nancy Claire Johnson Centro, 69, an Iowa City, Iowa, resident will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Flamm Funeral Home in Rexburg, Idaho.

Mrs. Centro died June 8, 2004, in Idaho Falls, Idaho of pneumonia. She was born Aug. 20, 1934, in Archer, Idaho, to Carl John and Geraldine Blackburn Johnson.

She attended Rexburg schools and married her high school English teacher in October 1950. He died in 1967.

She married Victor Centro in 1977. They lived in Carson City for 26 years.

Mrs. Centro spent two years in Taiwan. She enjoyed traveling, ceramics, beadwork and needlework.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Glen and David Johnson; sisters Ruth Johnson and Lucille Ricks; and granddaughter Kally Mae Wright.

Among her survivors are her husband of Iowa City; children Charlotte Wright of Iowa City, Jan Wright of Ashland, Ore., Greg Wright of Bakersfield, Calif., Paul Wright of Rexburg and Cathy Centro and Nancy McDowall, both of Canada; brothers Gerald Johnson of Rexburg, Reed Johnson of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Joy Johnson of St. Anthony, Idaho; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in the Sutton Cemetery at Archer.
