Holder, chief executive officer of The Holder Hospitality Group of Sparks, was named "Hotelier of the Year" at the Las Vegas International Hotel & Restaurant show.
Holder's company, which got into the hospitality industry with the purchase of three northern Nevada hotel-casinos in 1999, now owns seven casinos in the state and is buying another at Tonopah.
The properties include the Silver Club in Sparks.
