Francesca Georgiou of Gardnerville has been named marketing manager of Kirkwood Mountain Resort at Lake Tahoe.
She previously worked at KeepMedia in San Francisco as the head of customer acquisition marketing for the Web site.
From 2001 to 2003, Georgiou was the director of online business operations for The Deal, LLC, in New York City.
From 1998 to 2000, she was director of advertising operations for TheStreet.com in New York.
Georgiou has also worked as a marketing consultant for MediaRing in San Jose as well as for Homes & Land Magazine in San Jose and New York.
She holds a degree in English literature and marketing from Bernard Baruch College.
