Elizabeth Edwards to visit Carson City Sunday

Elizabeth Edwards, the wife of vice presidential candidate John Edwards, will be in Carson City this weekend.

She will be speaking at 11 a.m Sunday at Western Nevada Community College on West College Parkway.

Doors for the event will open at 9:30 a.m.

Tickets will be available at Democratic headquarters on 214 W. Robinson St., beginning at 8 a.m. this morning.

The daughter of a decorated Navy pilot, Edwards graduated from University of North Carolina Law School in 1977. Shortly after taking the bar exam, she married Edwards.

Elizabeth Edwards has a long record of volunteering and community service, including working with the March of Dimes.
