A funeral for Doris L. Providenti, 93, a Carson City resident for the past 30 years, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley.
Visitation will be from noon-2 p.m. Thursday at Walton's.
Mrs. Providenti died Oct. 17, 2004, in Carson City. She was born Feb. 7, 1911, in Covelo, Calif., to Clyde and Esther Hopper.
She had owned and operated restaurants in Covelo.
She loved horses, horse racing, cooking and preparing large meals for her family.
She was a Presbyterian.
She was preceded in death by her son Ronald Schultz in 1959.
Among her survivors are her sons and daughters-in-law Bill and Cecile Schultz of Carson City and Mike and Paula Darragh of Dayton; eight grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Walton's Carson Gardens Cemetery.
