Sparks-based Systems of Nevada, a lowvoltage contractor specializing in custom interior systems for homes, is the recipient of the First Alert Professional Community Service Award.
Joe Bemus, Systems of Nevada's owner and president, was honored by First Alert for sponsoring a free child-safety program at his business on April 18.
Children from throughout the community were fingerprinted, had digital photographs taken and their parents were given information about how to keep their children safe.
