A 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Thursday morning for allegedly having sex with a 12-year-old girl.
Rene Alexander Alegria, a brick finisher, was being held in the Carson City Jail on suspicion of felony sexual seduction and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
He was arrested at 4:03 a.m. on Latigo Drive after police found him and the girl in the back of his vehicle, said Carson City Sheriff's Detective Bob Motamenpour.
According to the arrest report filed by Motamenpour, deputies patrolling Latigo Drive spotted Alegria's vehicle parked with its windows fogged about 3:30 a.m.
When the deputies spoke to the two inside, the girl said she was 20 years old. The deputies didn't believe her, and eventually she admitted she was 12, Motamenpour said.
She told police Alegria was a family friend and would arrange to meet her for sex after her mother left for work at 2:50 a.m.
Alegria, a native of El Salvador, allegedly told police the two had been meeting for "early morning sex" for the past three months.
He was being held on $15,632 bail.
