Shirley A. Sakas

Shirley A. Sakas, 72, a Carson City resident for the past five years, died April 20, 2005, in Carson City. She was born July 23, 1932, in Duluth, Minn., to Alfred and Florence Magley Bergstrom.

Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Zephyr Cove for 30 years.

Mrs. Sakas owned and operated Jo's Designs in Carson City for many years. She enjoyed gardening.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, in 2003.

Among her survivors are her sons Jeff Woodworth of Minden and Craig Woodworth of Castro Valley, Calif.; sister, Phyllis Currier of Carson City and two grandchildren.

Cremation will be at Walton's Sierra Crematory.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
