Fishing regs brochure wins a national award

According to a recent press release by the Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW), Nevada's 2004 fishing regulations brochure, published by NDOW, won second place in national competition that pitted that publication against regulations brochures produced by other state wildlife agencies.

It was awarded during the Association for Conservation Information's (ACI) conference in Ogden, Utah.

ACI is comprised of information and education professionals from state and federal wildlife and natural resource agencies.

A boating handbook produced by the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission narrowly took first place over Nevada's fishing regulations brochure.

A waterfowl hunting regulations brochure by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources placed third.

Maureen Angel, NDOW publications coordinator, designed and edited the brochure.

In 2000, NDOW placed third in the national competition for its Nevada Hunt Book.
