Chris and Heidi Johnson have opened a franchise coffee pub It's A Grind Coffee House at 663 North McCarran Blvd.
in the Iron Horse Shopping Center.
Chris Johnson, a Sparks native, has more than 22 years of experience in the high technology industry,most recently with Redback Networks.Heidi Johnson, a sales and marketing professional for 17 years, left SE Laboratories, Inc.
to open the coffee house.
The Sparks facility is the first of the It's a Grind franchise for the Sparks area but joins four existing Nevada locations.
The Long Beach-based coffee franchise operates more than 45 coffee house locations nationwide.
