Jessie Marie Mason, 89, a Carson City resident for the past four years, died June 28, 2005, at Mountain Springs Assisted Living in Carson City.
She was born April 13, 1916, in Olympia, Wash., to Abner and Lily McCormick Ames.
She married Vern Mason. He preceded her in death May 6, 2001, in Sacramento, Calif.
Before moving to Carson City, she lived in Sacramento.
Mrs. Mason attended business college for two years, fostered many children and enjoyed farming, gardening, traveling and teaching Sunday school.
She was a homemaker.
She attended Pleasant Hill Lutheran Church in Eugene, Ore., All National Lutheran Church in Newport, Ore., and was active in the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.
Among her survivors are her daughters Karon Brauer of Gardnerville and Bonnie Simpson of Albany, Ore.; sister-in-law, Florabelle Fields of Ashland, Ore.; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A private family memorial service will be in Salem, Ore., in mid-July.
Cremation will be at FitzHenry's Crematory.
