Calif. Hunter Ed class on Aug. 2-4

A hunter education class will be offered by the State of California on Aug. 2-3-4 at Turtle Rock Park in Alpine County.

That park is situated on the west side of Calif. S.R. 4 and 89, midway between Woodfords and Markleeville.

The instruction will be held from 6 p.m. until about 10 p.m. on each day.

This Hunter Ed class is required for those who wish to obtain their first Calif. hunting license.

Topics to be covered include: Being a safe, ethical and responsible hunter, firearms, hunting techniques, primitive hunting, survival skills and wildlife conservation.

After successful completion of the class, each student will receive their hunter education certificate which is necessary to obtain a California hunter education validation stamp.
