Ed Masad

A funeral service for Ed Masad, 68, a Carson City resident since 1995, will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley in Carson City.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. today at Walton's.

Mr. Masad died March 4, 2005, in Carson City. He was born Dec. 28, 1936, to Fredrick and CathLeen Masad in Columbia, S.C. He married Jaffra on July 4, 1974.

He previously lived in Mill Valley, Calif.

Mr. Masad owned a San Francisco business, Mechanical Maintenance and Service Corp., for many years. He was involved in construction of the Bank of America World Headquarters, the TransAmerica Pyramid and the Franklin Hospital, all in San Francisco. He was an avid art collector and enjoyed skiing, scuba diving, and bicycling. A world traveler, he dived all over the world and bicycled through Austria.

Mr. Masad is survived by his wife of Carson City; son Erik Masad of Santa Rosa, Calif.; son and daughter-in-law Randall and Sher Todd of Carson City; brothers Father Fred Masad of Columbia and Cleve Masad of Petaluma, Calif.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Advocates to End Domestic Violence, P.O. Box 2529, Carson City, NV 89702.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley is in charge of arrangements.
