Golden Phoenix clears for new mine

Golden Phoenix Minerals of Sparks said last week it's been granted a water pollution control permit for its proposed Ashdown molybdenum mine.

Construction on the mine near Denio is expected to begin in April and awaits approval of a building permit by Humboldt County officials.
