Amy Oppio has been promoted to deputy director of the Nevada Museum of Art.
She's worked for the museum since 1993 and became its director of communications in 1998.
She developed the marketing and publicity plan that helped build and endow the new museum building that opened in 2003.
Oppio earned a bachelor's degree in art and English from the University of Nevada, Reno, in 1992.
