Garvey keynote speaker at Women of Achievement lunch

Garvey, former head of the Federal Aviation Administration and leadership strategist, will be the keynote speaker at the 14th Annual Nevada Women's Fund Women of Achievement Luncheon May 10 at the Reno Hilton.More than 1,000 are expected to attend the annual event.

Fritsi Ericson,Nevada Women's Fund president and chief executive officer,will be honored during the luncheon.

She will receive the 2005 Hall of Fame award and receive a Nevada Women's Fund's inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award.

Ericson retires on May 31 after 21 years as president and CEO.

The Nevada Women's Fund raises money and resources to benefit women and children in Northern Nevada.

Since 1982,Nevada Women's Fund has supported 119 organizations through grants totaling $1.6 million, and awarded $1.7 million in scholarships to 673 women.
