Les Schwab Tire Centers plans a tire store with a 10-bay service area at South Virginia Street and Sierra Manor Drive.
The Reno City Council last week took the first steps toward annexation and rezoning of the 1.8-acre site.
Final approval by the council is scheduled for May 25.
