Quiet weekend for Tahoe police

Holiday goers were apparently on their best behavior over Memorial Day in South Lake Tahoe, and law enforcement agencies reported a quiet weekend.

"We had a few DUIs and a few loud parties, but overall it's been pretty quiet," said Sargeant Jeff Regan with South Lake Tahoe Police on Monday. He said there were no more arrests for driving under the influence than normal.

California Highway Patrol responded to a motorcycle accident in Alpine County at Bullion Junction near the intersection of highways 89 and 4 around 2 p.m. Monday.

No more information was available on the accident.

El Dorado and Douglas counties sheriff's departments also reported a peaceful weekend.
