Nancy Jane Sanders

A funeral for Nancy Jane Sanders, 67, a Carson Valley resident, will be at noon Saturday at the Mountain View Mortuary, 425 Stoker Ave., Reno, with family friend the Rev. David Perata of Cornerstone Church in Livermore, Calif., presiding.

Mrs. Sanders died Nov. 5, 2005, at Washoe Medical Center. She was born Nov. 24, 1937, in Brighton, Colo.

She moved to Southern California in 1960 and then to Northern California before relocating in the Carson Valley.

Mrs. Sanders and her husband re-established Cutter Ridge Ranch in the Carson Valley. They produced many champion Open and Non-pro cutting horses. She was an avid reader and a world-class shoe shopper. She enjoyed her pets and her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Among her survivors are her husband of 37 years, Coy of Gardnerville; daughter and son-in-law Terri and Chris Ratfield of Tracy, Calif.; daughter Debra Yanagihara of Reno; son and daughter-in-law Curtis and Barbara Yanagihara of Tracy; daughter Terry Sanders and daughter and son-in-law Tammy and Don Pauley, all of Escondido, Calif.; and grandchildren Coy Sanders, Kelly Ratfield, Aaron Sanders, Branden Benetti and Katie Ratfield.
