Dantherm Filtration, a maker of air handling equipment that is opening a 27,000- square-foot manufacturing plant in Sparks, expects to double its Nevada employment in the next year.
"We are expanding quite rapidly into this area," said Steve Moore, production manager for the company based at Thomasville, N.C.
The company told the Nevada Economic Development Commission it will begin operations with 14 workers making an average of $16.93 an hour.
The plant will be in operation within about a month,Moore said.
