What's opening/closing in the hunting world

Here is what will be opening or closing in the Nevada hunting world in the next week:

• Oct. 29 - Opening day of the muzzleloader antlerless elk hunting season in management area Nos. 161-164. This season will close on Nov. 11.

• Oct. 30 - Closing day of the "Any Legal Weapon" antelope (horns longer than ears) hunting season in management area Nos. 202 and 204.

• Oct. 30 - Closing day of the Rocky Mountain Goat hunting season in Management Area Nos. 101-103.

• Oct. 30 - Closing day of the California Bighorn Sheep hunting season in all applicable management areas.

• Oct. 30 - Closing day of the Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep hunting season in management areas Nos. 074 and 101-102.

• Oct. 30 - Closing day of the "Any Legal Weapon" antlered elk depredation hunting season in management area Nos. 101-104.

• Oct. 30 - Closing day of the "Any Legal Weapon" antlerless deer hunting season in management area Nos. 114, 115 and 144.

• Nov. 1 - Opening day of the Bobcat and Gray Fox trapping season (Statewide). This season will close on Feb. 28.
