A funeral for Wendy Elaine Ruhland, 69, a Gardnerville resident for the past 11 years, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home in Gardnerville.
A viewing will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ruhland died Sept. 4, 2005, in Reno. She was born Feb. 18, 1936, in Erie, Pa., to James F. and Nellie F. Henry.
She was a high school graduate.
Before moving to Gardnerville, she lived in San Diego, Calif.
She married Albert J. Ruhland on May 21, 1955, in LaPuente, Calif.
Mrs. Ruhland worked as a bank manager.
Among her survivors are her husband of Gardnerville; son and daughter-in-law, James R. and Patti L. of San Diego, Calif.; daughter and son-in-law, Kelly M. and Timothy F. Edwardson of Gardnerville; grandchildren Jamie L. Ruhland, Jennifer V. Edwardson, Jacquelyn M. Edwardson and Jeaneu C. Edwardson; sisters Ann Thompson of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Susan Doran of Rowland Heights, Calif.; brother and sister-in-law, Fred and Shirley Henry of Phoenix; and numerous extended-family members.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association of Nevada or to the American Heart Association.
FitzHenry's Carson Valley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
