Amazon.com's Fernley Fulfillment Center was recognized last week by Nevada OSHA as its Voluntary Protection Program Star for 2006. The VPP designation is awarded to companies that exceed OSHA safety and health standards and have an excellent safety record.
Amazon.com's Fernley facility employs an average of 700 full-time employees and more than2,000 workers during peak season.
