Bill Raggio of Reno, who recently retired from the board of directors of Las Vegas-based Sierra Health Services, has been named a director emeritus of the company for a year.
Raggio, 77, has been a member of Sierra's board of directors since its inception in 1984.
He also serves as general counsel to the Archon Corp., is a shareholder in law firm of Jones Vargas, and majority leader of the Nevada Senate, where he has served since 1972.
