Margaret Cavin, co-owner of J&J Mechanical Inc. in Sparks, has been elected chair of the Nevada State Contractors Board.
Cavin, the first woman to be elected chair, was appointed to the board by Gov. Kenny Guinn in 2005 and reappointed to a third term in 2005.
