Taxable sales in Washoe County during September were up 2.3 percent over year-earlier figures, the state Department of Taxation reported last week.
Carson City was down 5.1 percent, Douglas County was down 2.9 percent, Lyon County was down 9.6 percent and Churchill County was down 20 percent.
