Altair Nanotechnologies Inc. of Reno said last week it received a $2.5 million grant from the U.S. Department of Energy.
The grant will fund three programs in which Altair collaborates with university researchers:
* Study of battery technologies with Rutgers University.
* Study of nanosensors with Western Michigan University.
* Study of nanomaterials with the University of California, Santa Barbara.
