Clearstar Financial Credit Union, formerly Sierra Schools Credit Union, has started construction on a new branch on Double R Boulevard in South Reno.
The branch, the fourth for Clearstar, will be its first new freestanding branch in 30 years.
The building is designed and built by the San Francisco office of NewGround, a St. Louis-based firm that specializes in construction of financial institutions.
