H&E nears completion of facility

A 20,900-square-foot warehouse and office facility built for H&E Equipment Services Inc. in north Reno is nearing completion.

The single-level building on 11 acres is at 845 North Hills Blvd. near the Golden Valley Road interchange on U.S. 395.

The engineering and design by Tectonics Design Group of Reno incorporates a five-ton interior crane system for the repair of heavy equipment.

The facility, which is more than twice the size of an existing H&E Equipment location at 1690 Industrial Way in Sparks, also includes space for a sales operation, training and conference rooms and an extensive outside storage yard.

The building was undertaken as a build-to-suit project by Panattoni Construction Inc.

H&E Equipment Services, which is based at Baton Rouge, La., is one of the largest equipment companies in the nation.

It specializes in the rental, sale and repair of industrial and heavy construction equipment.

It operates 47 locations in the West, Southeast and Gulf Coast regions, and its executives have said H&E is opening new or expanded facilities in fast-growth markets such as northern Nevada.
