A roadway built by Granite Construction's Nevada Operation in the Boca and Floriston area has been recognized as "Best Rural Highway" by the California Department of Transportation.
The $100 million project project involved rehabilitation and reconstruction of 11 miles of on Interstate 80 east of Truckee.
