Georgia Gulf: Sparks plant won't be affected by closure

A decision by Georgia Gulf Corp. to close a plant at Winnipeg, Manitoba, isn't expected to have any affect on its plant at Sparks.

Georgia Gulf, parent company of the Royal Group, a maker of vinyl window and door frames, employs more than 100 at the Sparks facility, spokesman Mark Badger said last week.

"The Sparks facility is in a great strategic location for us to serve the Southwestern U.S. market," Badger said.
