ESGR Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve has recognized northern Nevada employers who go beyond the basic legal requirements in their support of employees who are deployed.
The organizations were nominated by employees who detailed how the employer supported them during their deployments.
Northern Nevada employers who were recognized include REMSA; Sherwin Williams; Lahontan Valley
News/Swift Communications; Dr. Mary Sedgwick, director of field experience at the University of Nevada,
Reno; Internal Medical Associates; Charles River Laboratories; Top Notch Distributors; D& D Plumbing, Model Dairy; Newmont Mining, Robert Thalgott Orthodontist; and Marie Sterkel-Munson, a supervisor at the Veterans Administration Hospital.
The Peppermill Resort and Casino received the ESGR Seven Seals award for its support of the military.
Dr. Joyce Anacker of Glover Dentistry in Reno received Seven Seals Award for her dedication to her profession. Anacker also serves as commander of a Nevada Army National Guard medical detachment
