Kwang Kim and Yanyao Jiang, engineering professors at the University of Nevada, Reno, have been elected to Fellow Grade, the highest elected grade of membership within the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
The honor recognizes exceptional engineering achievements and contributions to the engineering profession.
Kim, a UNR professor since 2001, previously worked at Thermal Electric Devices Inc., Environmental Robots Inc. and the University of New Mexico.
Jiang, who came to UNR in 1996, specializes in plasticity. He has contributed more than 100 articles to academic publications.
