JLH wins fulfillment contract

JLH Mail, Inc. of Sparks won a contract to inventory and ship products nationally for pet product manufacturer Pet Human Designs, which is headquartered at East Point, Ga.

Fiber-optic service begins

Nevada Comstock Communications LLC of Reno has launched service on the fiber optic communication network it developed at Tahoe Reno Industrial Center.

The network will provide service to 160 square miles within the industrial center. Nevada Comstock Communications is owned by Anthony H. Osterkamp Jr.

Pro Clean wins contracts

Pro Clean Maintenance Inc. of Reno has been awarded the final construction cleanup contract for the Tahoe Maritime Museum in Homewood and also won the janitorial contract for Shaw Engineering in Reno.

KTVN news wins Emmys

The morning and 6:30 p.m. newscasts produced by KTVN Channel 2 in Reno won Emmy Awards from the Northern California Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.

Channel 2, the only Reno station ever to win an Emmy, last won in the evening newscast category in 1999.

Pindi a hot opportunity

Pindi Products Inc. of Reno is a finalist for the 2008 Frost & Sullivan Award for "Hot Investment Opportunity" in the glucose monitoring market.

The privately held company has developed a patented technology that reads blood-glucose levels instantly and without need for needles or test strips.

Utility wins diversity award

The Sierra Pacific Resources supplier diversity program won the Supplier Diversity Innovative Approaches Award for 2007 from the Edison Electric Institute.

The utility also was recently recognized as corporation of the year by the Nevada Minority Business Council.

RE/MAX teams recognized

Five RE/MAX Realty Affiliates teams were ranked among the top 25 RE/MAX teams in the state on the basis of sales volume in March.

The five teams were The David Morris Group, Thomas and Penny Reardon, Kelly Werner, Brian Lessinger and Kris Layman and Jackie Perkins.

Kim de Lancey of RE/MAX Realty Affiliates was among the top 25 individual performers in the state.
