Distribution center converts to energy-efficient lighting

The Amazon.com Inc. distribution center at Fernley has completed conversion to energy-efficient lighting that will reduce power use by about 1.9 million kilowatt-hours a year.

The company replaced 465-watt, high-intensity discharge lighting in the 588,560-square-foot building with 221-watt, high-intensity fluorescent fixtures developed by Orion Energy Systems Inc.
