Karen Caterino has been hired as risk manager for the State of Nevada Department of Administration.
She previously worked for the City of Sparks, where she managed its self-insured workers' compensation and benefits programs.
Caterino holds a master's degree in business and is working toward an associate degree in risk management, public entity.
