The Professional Saleswomen of Nevada opened nominations in its Saleswoman of the Year competition.
Five finalists and their companies will be recognized at an awards banquet in May, and the winner will be announced during the banquet.
Qualifications for nominees include:
* Outstanding client service.
* Integrity in business dealings.
* Active involvement in the community.
* Continuous self-improvement through training.
* Participation in professional organizations.
Last year's winner was Timi Fisher, who handles sales for Bear Industries Printing and Publishing of Sparks.
The award has been presented annually since 1987.
Nomination forms, which are due March 10, are available at www.psn-nevada-com. Click on "SWOTY" then on "Forms." They also are inserted in this week's edition of Northern Nevada Business Weekly.
The awards banquet is a fundraiser for The Note-Ables, a nonprofit that provides music therapy for children and adults with disabilities.
The banquet, which also includes live and silent auctions and entertainment, is scheduled from 6-11 p.m. on May 16 at The Peppermill Casino and Hotel.
