Dave Mathewson has been named chief executive officer, president and chief geologist of Nevada Gold Holdings Inc., a publicly held company headquartered at Fernley.
Mathewson, who has worked in Nevada for 20 of his 35 years as a geologist, previously worked as head geologist and vice president of exploration with Tone Resources.
He also has worked as manager of exploration for Newmont Mining Corp. in northern Nevada.
