Tim McFarling has been promoted to assistant vice president for human resources for the University of Nevada, Reno.
McFarling joined the University in 2004 as director of faculty human resources and was named interim assistant vice president for human resources in August 2008. Before joining the University, McFarling was vice president of human resources and organizational development for Wells Manufacturing Co. in Verdi and director of human resources and training manager for Scolari's Food & Drug Co. in Sparks.
He holds bachelor's and master's degrees in speech communication from Southern Illinois University and a master's degree in social work from the University of Illinois.
