Zephyr Cove engineering firm acquired

Eastern Sierra Engineering P.C. has acquired JWA Consulting Engineers Inc. of Zephyr Cove.

The Lake Tahoe office of the firm, which employs three, will be integrated into Eastern Sierra Engineering. JWA Consulting, founded by Jere E. Williams in 1981, provided civil engineering services to public- and private-sector clients.

Eastern Sierra Engineering also operates locations in Reno, Minden and Mammoth Lakes. It provides civil engineering, construction inspection and materials testing services.

It was established in 1996 by Gerald Jensen, its president.

Eastern Sierra Engineering executives said the acquisition strengthens the company's professional staff and its presence in the Lake Tahoe Basin.
