A survey released by Reno Sparks Chamber of Commerce during its Directions 2010 event last week found 64 percent of respondents predict that the local economy will grow or stay flat this year.
More than 42 percent of the 102 companies surveyed expect that their sales will increase during 2010. About 23 percent expect sales to decline.
Ten percent of the companies surveyed added jobs in 2009, and 7 percent increased capital investments.
