Violet H. Gay, 72, of South Lake Tahoe, died Jan. 30, 2011, in Reno. She was born Aug. 3, 1938, in Baltimore, Md., to Preston and Mary (Wilgus) Hall. She is survived by her husband John D. Gay, and daughter Catherine Hembrow. Autumn Funerals & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
