Join African night

of culture at library

Carson City Library will present "Anouaze Beat," a traditional African drum and dance group, at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 22.

The audience will be treated to colorful costumes, African instruments and authentic music. Audience members will be invited to participate in the drumming and dancing during this cultural presentation.

Monthly dance party set for Feb. 26

High Sierra Swing Dance Club presents its monthly dance party Feb. 26 at the Brewery Arts Center's Grand Ballroom, 449 W. King St. There will be a lesson at 7 p.m., with the social dance from 8-10:30 p.m.

Partners are not required. Lesson and dance are $7 each for HSSDC and any swing dance club members or $10 each for nonmembers. Join the club that night, and the dance is free.
